Day 1: Phnom Penh Arrival - City Tours


Morning


Welcome to mysterious Cambodia! Upon arrival at Phnom Penh airport, our driver and guide will warmly pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check-in. As usual, the time for check-in is 14:00. If you require an early check-in, please book with your travel consultant. Have an entire rest then for ready city exploration this afternoon.


Afternoon


Drive around Cambodias capital, and we have a chance to sightsee the top historical landmarks giving you a brief of Cambodia's history and culture


Your first stop by visiting the Royal Palace built in 1866, and the Silver Pagoda located within the Royal Palace compound. Continue to the National Museum, dedicated exclusively to Khmer art and sculpture. Most exhibits are from the Angkor period (9th to 15th century), but some date as early as the 4th century.


Evening


Relish 1hour Sunset cruise along the Mekong River to admire the beauty of Phnom Penh city on sunset and nightlife. After the cruise, enjoy Khmer Cuisine dinner at a local restaurant, then transfer back to your hotel for overnight in Phnom Penh.

Day 2: Phnom Penh Mondulkiri


Morning


Fulfill your energy with breakfast and check out the hotel.


Our guide and driver will meet you at the lobby for departing to Sen Monorom on a long expedition taking a 7-8 hour drive. On the way, we will stop for lunch in Snual, located in Kratie province. Then continue to the capital of Mondulkiri, giving you some of the rubber plantations initiated by the French along the road.


Evening


Reaching the village, we will spend a short time surrounding the town if the sky is still bright and process check in the hotel.


Enjoy dinner after your relaxing time, and sleep tight.

Day 3: Trekking & Elephant Experience


Morning


Have breakfast on a peaceful morning in Mondolkiri.


08:20 - 08:30: Gather again with our guide and head to the forest, protected from logging by the Mondulkiri Project, where we start the trekking adventure. The first level is a walk from the hilltop into the jungle to Mondulkiri Project's Jungle Lodge to listen to the introduction about this project. Then it's time to say hello to lovely elephants and their Mahouts.


After having a happy time playing with elephants, we trek back to the jungle lodge for lunch while capturing the jungle view into your sight.


Afternoon


When you are entirely rested, we return to the bottom of the valley and walk to the waterfall for a swim with elephants. Say goodbye to animal fellows today and return to the hotel for a short break before dinner.


Evening


Delight in local cuisine for dinner at the restaurant and overnight at the hotel after the productive trekking day.

Day 4: Sen Monorom Bou Sra


Morning


Finish the breakfast in the early morning, and we continue to explore this wild animal region by trekking. Crossing forests and hills, you will have a truly natural feeling when stopping by.


On the way to Bou Sra waterfall, we will meet Phnong minority villages where you can talk with ethnics to understand their customs and culture and take photos. Have lunch nearby the waterfall.


Afternoon


Conquer the peak of Sen Monoroms hill to visit the pagoda and overlook a panoramic and charming sunset view.


Evening


Back to the town center for dinner and unwind at the hotel.

Day 5: Sen Monorom Kratie


Morning


Please wake up early, have breakfast, and finish the check-out procedure. Then, our guide will take you to a local wet market where you can watch the trading life of ethnic people. Back to the land, before saying goodbye to this town, we have sightseeing at most of the highlight spots in Mondulikiri.


Save the platform view of Sen Monorom in photos and contemplate the Buddhist statue inside the temple at Phnom Doh Kromom.

Transfer to Kratie takes a 2.5-hour drive, and check in at the hotel upon arrival. Freely taste dinner and Kratie by night on your own.

Day 6: Kratie Dolphin Watching By Boat Siem Reap


Morning


Savor breakfast at the hotel, we check out and ready a tiny comfort package for a special boat trip at the Mekong River rarely section, giving you a truly get back to nature experience that few travelers have had.


Embark at the launch point. You will first paddle across the river towards the west bank and drift downstream, opening a picturesque scenery of sand islands and flooded forests. Before cruising back, you will have a unique perspective of seeing the rare Irrawaddy dolphins from your boat.


Afternoon


Back to Kratie city and try local dishes for lunch. You can have a full bask in the car while we have a long drive to Siem Reap with 6 hours on the road.


Get to the hotel directly when arriving. You may arrange your dinner at your own expense and refresh at the hotel after a long day.

Day 7: Angkor Wat - Angkor Thom


Morning


Full charge your energy for a full day trekking set out through the dense jungle of the magnificent temples of Angkor. Your first point to conquer is Angkor Wat. Built during the reign of King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat was constructed following the model of the temple mountain symbolizing Mount Meru, the home of the gods.


Walking from temple to temple is a unique way to see these magnificent ruins: glimpses of small temples can be spotted amongst dense jungle, towers appear looming overhead, and the sheer number of ruins along the way is staggering. Stop on the way for lunch at a simple local restaurant.


Afternoon


Continue trekking to Prasat Chrung, where you will have your picnic brunch and admire the beauty. Take some rest under the shade of the tree before leaving your road.


Then take in the expanse of the moat of Angkor Thom before you enter the city through the ancient South Gate, an impressive stone gate carved with Elephants and four giant faces. A row of 54 gods or demons holds the sacred Naga snake on each side of the entrance path.


From here, you will find Bayon Temple in the city's exact center. This 12th-century masterpiece is a study of grandeur and is well-known for its 54 towers with enigmatic faces representing the 54 provinces of the Great Khmer Empire.


The Terrace of the Elephants and the Terrace of the Leper King are also must-visits as they are both known for their intricate bas-reliefs.


Return to the hotel by our transfer. Now is your time to relax the tendons after a long day of trekking.

Day 8: Siem Reap - Cycle Rolous - Kampong Phluok


Morning


Ready your good power with breakfast, and our guide will be your fellow on this bike journey to the early temples of the Roluos Group, a site of an ancient center of Khmer civilization known as Hariharalaya. It was the first town built by the Angkorian kings in the 8th and 9th centuries and consists of three main temples: Bakong, Lolei, and Preah Ko.


Take a characteristic Cambodian vehicle to the shores of Tonlé Sap Lake, South East Asias largest freshwater lake, where you will bike along and have the opportunity to learn about life on the lake.


From there, you will board a local boat and visit Kampong Pluk, a village where you will see submerged houses on stilts Tonlé Sap Lake extends and impressive flooded forests, portraying life on the water.


Experience a delicious lunch in a floating house.


Afternoon


Cycle 12 km on the only remaining trace of the old Angkorian road between Beng Mealea and Angkor Thom until you reach the Chau Srei Vibol temple hidden in the jungle. And take a short break with snacks and drinks.


Head to Wat Tabeng on a short 7km ride, a traditional village that is among the most scenic in Cambodia. Here, in a clean and safe place on the premises of a picturesque wat, you will find unique photographic opportunities.


Get back to your hotel for basking and dinner at your arrangement.
