Day by Day itineraries

Day 1: Arrival in Chiang Rai


Morning

When you arrive at Chiang Rai International Airport, your family will be welcomed warmly by our guide, the driver will take you to your hotel in the city.


Check in and have free time to explore the city with your family, or just rest in your room and stay overnight.

Day 2: Chiang Rai - Mae Kok River


Morning

After breakfast, your family will pay a visit to a local market to see the peoples life and discover what products they sell


Travel to the world-famous Wat Phra Kaew, where enshrines Phra Kaew Morakot (the Emerald Buddha), then move on to Wat Phra Singh - one of the most beautiful temples in Chiang Rai, having classic Lanna style in architecture


Have a short drive from Chiang Rai City to Black House. Baan Dam (Black House) is the unique work of national artist, Thawan Duchanee, made up of about 40 structures built in heavy timber and metal in various forms.


Afternoon

We will take on our boat cruise on the Mae Kok River from Chiang Rai to Karen village, where you can watch elephants and even try feeding them.


Transfer back to Chiang Rai. Stay overnight in Chiang Rai

Day 3: Chiang Rai - Mae Salong - Chiang Saen


Morning

After the morning meal at the hotel, we depart for northern Thailand, a wooded, mountainous, and beautiful place.


Firstly, you will head to Mae Salong, where you can climb up and down the verdant hills, covered with tea farms. Then, taste the appetizing tea created by one of the numerous plantations in the area


From Doi Mae Salong, you will explore two villages of ethnic minorities: the village Akah of Loyo, and the village Lisu of Ban Hanygo. Afterward, continue to visit the Mae Fah Luang Botanical Garden


On arrival in Golden Triangle, take a boat trip along the Mekong River to witness Thailand, Burma & Laos triangle


Overnight in Chiang Saen.

Day 4: Chiang Saen - Thaton - Chiang Mai


Morning

When finishing your meal after waking up, you will leave your accommodation for Thaton. You will make a stop on the way to the village of Patai to meet the tribe of Padong Karen, renowned for its long-necked women who wear brass coils around their necks to lengthen them.


You will then uncover a traditional Chinese medicine pharmacy where a specialist will explain the use of herbs, roots, plants, and ointments.


Afternoon

Take the road to Chiang Mai, the capital of the North, and stop for a walk in the maze of underground galleries in Chiang Dao


Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 5: Chiang Mai City & Doi Suthep


Morning

Breakfast is served at the hotel. After that, join the walking tour of the old town to catch a glimpse of the 'Rose of the North':


See the most attractive temples of Chiang Mai: Wat Phra Singh, Wat Phan Tao, and Wat Chedi Luang.


Wander along miniature streets lined with traditional houses, where you will have a rickshaw tour.


You will take a walk through the central market of Warorot to see the local lifestyle here


Afternoon

You will visit the Doi Suthep Hill. To brighten up your evening, explore the Night Market for yourself

Day 6: Chiang Mai - Cooking Class at Thai Farm Cooking & Mae Ping River Cruise


Breakfast is at the hotel. Around 08:30 - 14:00, your family are picked up by the school team and join the Thai Farm Cooking for Thai cooking classes in English (Join group)


  • Visit a local market, then learn about herbs and ingredients at an organic farm
  • Begin cooking: Cook jasmine rice and sticky rice, pound and make a curry paste from scratch, then choose and make one curry paste, one curry, and one soup
  • Cook a noodle dish and sweet dessert according to the day
  • Afternoon


Taking a two-hour boat expedition along the Mae Ping River is an awesome way to spend an afternoon, you get to see many exquisite traditional teak houses as well as a lot of rustic verdure along the way.


Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

Day 7: Chiang Mai - Doi Inthanon - Chiang Mai


Morning

Start the day with a transfer to Doi Inthanon National Park. It will take approximately 2 hours to the highest peak in Thailand - Doi Inthanon National Park


On arrival, we will spend 2 - 3 hours walking through the wilderness, following a narrow mountain path that leads us to a captivating undercover waterfall in the center of a dense forest


Along the way, before reaching the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village, we will pass through the farmland, where you will admire the coffee plantation, flower farm, and stunning rice terraces


Uncover the Pagagayaw Karen hill tribe village and drink a cup of regional coffee, then move on to Vachiratharn Waterfall, a 70 meters high roaring fall. Relish the calm and refreshed air at the cascade before we continue back to the ground


Thereafter, you will travel to the ravishing architecture of Napamaytanidol Chidi and Phra Mahathat Napaphon Bhumisiri, which is created to honor the 60th birthday of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit


Transfer back to Chiang Mai after the tour

Day 8: Chiang Mai - Departure


Morning

Your family has free time until the transfer to Chiang Mai International Airport for the return flight.
