Selamat Datang and welcome to beautiful Bali! Your driver will meet you at the airport in Denpasar and take you in a private car to the first stop of your honeymoon in Bali: Ubud.

Nestled in the jungle mountains, Ubud is the spiritual heart of Bali. Considered close to heaven, you will feel as though thats where you have arrived as you drive past the famous rice paddies of Bali and see locals working the fields in truly picture worthy scenes.

Check into your hotel and if time permits, set out to explore Ubud on your own.

Day 2: Cycle thru Ricefields

After a delicious breakfast set off on a romantic excursion through the ricefields by bike. Cycling is the best way to see Bali, the breeze on the bike is blissful as you cruise through jungle and rice field tracks surrounded by scents and sights that will have your whole body singing. Stop by small villages where you can enjoy the sweet flavours of local markets.

When you return, spend the afternoon at your leisure. Take a walk through the Sacred Monkey Forest to see ancient trees and observe the long-tailed Ubud monkeys, or perhaps visit one of the museums, see a traditional Balinese dance or try one of the many mouth-watering restaurants. Of course, you can also stretch out by the pool and breath in the air and the scent of incense and relax together.

Day 3: Ceremony in honour of your wedding

Today you will attend a special ceremony in honour of your spiritual bond together. Travel to the quiet village of Mengwi where you will be given a chance to dress in beautiful traditional Balinese clothes and be blessed by a Hindu priest. This a truly magical and romantic occasion with a photographer on hand to capture every moment. The blessing is followed by a traditional feast of local cuisine. Upon leaving you will be given a CD of your photos to treasure forever.

Return to your Ubud accommodation.

Day 4: Temples & Villages

Enjoy breakfast and check out from your hotel, ready to explore the breathtaking Sidemen valley. Stop on the way in the traditional village of Penglipuran for a true snapshot of Balinese rural life before heading to Pura Besakih, an incredible terraced temple. Considered one of the most important spiritual structures in Bali, this Pura is nestled in the foothills of Mount Agung, Balis most respected and revered volcano. Make sure you have a good window seat as your driver enters the Sidemen, one of the most beautiful countryside regions in Bali. Check into the hotel for a well-earned rest and to look over the incredible photos of your drive.

Day 5: Cooking Class & Spa

After an early breakfast, you prepare for a Balinese cooking class. Let your guide take you on a stroll through the local market to collect fresh local produce to prepare a delicious home-cooked lunch. Your teacher will guide you through a unique Balinese cooking class that will stimulate not only your palate but also your senses as you learn about the deep flavours of Balinese spices and roots.

After enjoying your home-cooked meal, you will indulge in a couples spa session. Experience a Balinese massage and bathe in rose petals for a romantic and spellbinding treat for your honeymoon in Bali.

Day 6: Island Hopping

Today, you check out from Sidemen and head to the quiet island of Nusa Lembongan. To get there you will travel down the east coast of Bali to Sanur and board a fast boat to Nusa Lembongan. Once off the boat, you will be taken to your hotel where the rest of the day can be enjoyed at your leisure.

There is no better place to have free time than here: enjoy a slow pace among white sandy beaches and terraced rice fields. Why not treat yourself to a massage, a snorkelling excursion or maybe stretch out in a hammock and spend a relaxing moment together.

Day 7: Manta rays and colourful corals

Wake up early and get ready to embark on a snorkelling excursion. Cruise towards Nusa Penida where manta rays and colourful corals are yours to explore right from your boat. Jump in with your snorkel gear (provided) and take your time to explore this underwater paradise. Back on board, your captain will navigate to nearby coves and bays for more ocean exploring. Youll be out of the sun and back on Lembongan island by noon, allowing you to choose a lunch spot and relax the day away or continue exploring the island at your leisure.

Day 8: Beachside relaxation

Today is a day just for the two of you. This is what a honeymoon in Bali is all about. Go for a stroll on the coastal paths, cycle or take the scenic suspension bridge across to nearby Nusa Ceningan. For those looking for a more laid-back day, sip cocktails by the pool, lounge on the beach, enjoy the clear, turquoise ocean and enjoy the sound of the waves. We can also organise a driver to bring you to some of the more quiet beaches on the island that you will most likely have all to yourself or hire a scooter and set off for some exploration on your own. Traffic is light on Nusa Lembongan, and the island is easy to navigate.

Day 9: Back to Bali

This afternoon you will leave the relaxed island of Nusa Lembongan behind as you head to the south coast of Bali. Before you do, you have time to stroll the beaches and enjoy a seafood lunch before your fast boat transports you back to Bali. Your driver will greet you at the pier and bring you to your hotel. On the way, you will pass the famous Jimbaran beach and have a chance to be amazed by the clifftop views from Uluwatu.

Day 10: Goodbye Indonesia

Before you international flight departs from Denpasar, revel in the sights of south Bali. From incredible surf waves at Dreamland Beach, the picture-perfect temple teetering on the cliff edge at Uluwatu and the many restaurants that adorn both the streets and beaches, you will surely find a way to enjoy your last moments in Bali, maybe even by indulging in one last incredible couples massage.

Board your flight feeling relaxed and blissful, taking memories and loving moments home with you to share forever. The Shanti Travel team looks forward to welcoming you for your next Asian adventure!
